Fire crews tackle Jurby farm blaze

Fire crews were called to a farm in Jurby after a tractor fire started to spread to a nearby building.

Teams from Kirk Michael, Ramsey and Douglas were all called to the scene in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Officers found an agricultural tractor well alight, which had begun spreading to a building on the farm.

Firefighters were able to quickly bring the flames under control before damping down and checking for hot spots, spending around 90 minutes at the scene.
