The Home Affairs Minister says he has held positive and amicable talks with Ramsey Town Commissioners over the sale of Ramsey Courthouse.
Bill Malarkey spoke to member of the local authority earlier as the Government looks to dispose of the building.
The Commissioners have made a bid to buy the facility, having stated it should remain in public ownership.
Mr Malarkey has promised to consider the Commissioners' position before making a recommendation to the Treasury over the sale.
Negotiations over the sale are still ongoing, with more talks due to take place later this month.
