Number of Manx taxpayers rises
Thu, 06 Apr 2017
Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan revealed the figures in a written answer in this week's House of Keys sitting.
The number of people paying tax on the Isle of Man increased between 2011 and 2016.
At the end of the 2010-11 tax year, 73,959 resident taxpayers were registered with the Treasury's Income Tax Division.
In April last year, the number had increased by 534 to almost 74,500.
The number has fluctuated in between, falling during 2012 and 2014 before rising the following years, but Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan expects another rise this year, with over 500 ongoing registrations taking place.
