The liquidator appointed to deal with the collapse of CityWing admits it could be many months before customers get their money back.
The virtual airline was forced to cease trading last month after the airline that operated its flights was grounded.
Craig Mitchell confirmed in a statement released by CityWing that the case is particularly complex and it's not possible to give a date when creditors are likely to see their money.
The liquidator is reiterating advice issued by the Office of Fair Trading, urging passengers to seek refunds through their credit card companies or using their travel insurance where possible.
Mr Mitchell warns it could be many months before he's able to start issuing refunds to those who had been booked to travel with the company.
CityWing owed a total of almost £1.9m when it called in the liquidator in March.
