Government wins award for sea bass conservation work
Tue, 04 Apr 2017
The Manx Government has won an award for its sea bass conservation work.
The Bass Angler's Sportsfishing Society named the Island the recipient of the restoration award after the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture restricted sea bass fishing last year.
Only recreational anglers were allowed to catch sea bass last year, while the number and size of the fish was also restricted.
BASS says sea bass are vulnerable because of their slow growth rate.
