The new patient taxi transfer provider will save the Manx Government around £33,000 per year.
Health Minister Kate Beecroft confirmed in this week's sitting of the House of Keys that ComCab Liverpool's service is cheaper than the previous provider.
However, Mrs Beecroft warned that this is based on the cost per journey, and that the savings could fall if more patients go off Island for treatment at hospitals in the UK.
The Minister also revealed that the new provider has been monitored since taking over from Bridgewater Cars at the start of the week, and so far there have been no complaints.
The Department of Health and Social Care insists equal importance was placed on cost and quality during the tender process for the service.
