Dog rescued from cliff in Peel

The coastguard had to be called out in the west of the Island after a dog got stuck down a cliff.

Peel crews were asked for help after the animal made its way down the cliff yesterday shortly after 1pm.

A technician was able to quickly get to the dog and secure him before both were safely helped to the top by the rest of the team.

The coastguard is urging anyone who finds themselves in such a position not to attempt to rescue their dog themselves and to contact the coastguard.
