The Health Minister says her Department is reviewing the Island's opt-in organ donation system.
Manx residents currently have to give their consent in advance to allow their organs to be donated to others in the event of their death.
Other countries, including Wales and France, have switched to opt-out systems, meaning organs are donated unless the person has stated otherwise.
Kate Beecroft confirmed in Tynwald that the system is currently being reviewed, but that the Department of Health and Social Care want to see evidence of the system working in Wales before decided whether to make the switch.
