The Island's largest private sector employer believes the increase to the minimum wage could lead to job losses.
Heron & Brearley - which operates many of the Island's pubs and has retail and wholesale operations, fears the rise could even force some Manx businesses to close.
Tynwald voted to raise the minimum level of pay from £7 to £7.50 from June this year.
Heron & Brearley says the rise will hit the hospitality, leisure and retail sectors hardest, as well as cleaning and care.
The company also claims to have warned the Government that such a rise will lead to less investment in training and price increases.
