Tynwald approves minimum wage increase

Manx workers on the minimum wage will receive more money from the start of June.

Tynwald approved plans to increase the lower limit for employees aged 21 and over to £7.50 from June 1 - a rise of 50p.

Younger workers will also receive a boost to their income, with under 18s getting an additional 30p per hour and under 21s rising 20p to £6.85.

The minimum wage rates were last updated in January last year.
