An MHK says he had to resign from the Department of Health and Social Care because he found it increasingly difficult to support the Minister.
Rob Callister has revealed he tendered his resignation from the departmental role earlier this month, and described it as a difficult decision.
In a post on his Facebook page, the Onchan MHK confirmed his decision to quit the position was due to personal reasons and a difference of opinion with Kate Beecroft.
However, Mr Callister insists he still backs the Chief Minister's Programme for Government, and will be continuing his other Government roles.
