Government looking to introduce bike to work scheme

The Manx Government is looking at introducing a bike to work scheme.

Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas confirmed in this week's sitting of the House of Keys that he supports the idea.

Mr Thomas says Government departments are looking for ways to encourage their workers to cycle, but safety and infrastructure need to be looked at first.

Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan recently announced a tax break for those purchasing cycling equipment to use to travel to work as part of the Manx budget.
