The Home Affairs Minister has confirmed Ramsey Courthouse will be sold on the open market.
The building, which has previously been used as the town's post office, was listed for sale with a local estate agent this morning for £475,000.
Ramsey Town Commissioners had expressed an interest in keeping the building as a community facility, and Bill Malarkey confirmed in this week's sitting of the House of Keys that he will speak to the local authority before a final decision is made.
Mr Malarkey also revealed that two parties are already keen to purchase the building, and that a decision on the future of facility should be made by the end of this month.
