The Chief Minister insists the additional funds given to the United Nations to help Syrian refugees won't affect the Island's commitment to other international projects and organisations.
Howard Quayle recently revealed the Isle of Man will donate an additional £973,000 from the Overseas Aid budget to assist those in Syria instead of allowing refugees to come to the Island.
Ayre and Michael MHK Tim Baker asked whether this would result in other projects having their funding reduced, but the Chief Minister confirmed the money was available because of an underspend from the 2016-17 budget.
Mr Quayle also revealed a small proportion will come from next year's budget, but that all commitments to other areas will be honoured.
