Sailings cancelled as gales hit Island

This morning's sailing to Heysham has been cancelled as winds reaching up to 65mph hit the Island.

The Steam Packet Company says it's 8 45am crossing and the return journey to Douglas at 2.15pm cannot go ahead.

Passengers booked to travel on the affected sailings are asked to contact the operator's reservations team to make alternative arrangements.

It's expected conditions will improve enough to allow this evening's services to go ahead as scheduled.
