One of the payments available to disabled people on the Island will be increased from April to match the UK rate.
Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan announced a 5.8% increase to the higher rate mobility component of the Disability Living Allowance as part of this year's budget.
Manx residents who lease a vehicle through Motability currently have to make an upfront payment to cover the difference between the UK rate and the Manx allowance, but the increased rate will mean this is no longer necessary.
Mr Cannan also announced a 1% raise to the Carer's Allowance, Attendance Allowance and Disability Living Allowance.
