Manx Gas confirms propane cylinders are safe

Manx Gas say cylinders that were thought to pose a safety risk are safe.

The supplier has been in touch with the manufacturer and distributor of the propane cylinders and confirmed there is no fault with the cylinders sold to Isle of Man customers.

Manx Gas had warned last week that the cylinders' control valves could be faulty, urging those with such items not to use them.

The root cause of the fault and the cylinders affected have been identified, with no risk posed to those on Island.
