Drivers of electric cars could pay no road tax on the Isle of Man in the future.
Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer revealed that he plans to introduce a revised Vehicle Duty Order next month making a number of changes, including abolishing road tax payments for electric vehicles.
The Minister also confirmed that there will be a full review of the system over the next year, considering whether cars using alternative fuels should also pay a different amount of tax.
There could also be more incentives for Manx motorists to drive electric behicles in the future, including introducting more charging points around the Island.
