DHSC on target with 8 of 12 objectives

The Department of Health and Social Care says it's on target with eight of its 12 objectives for the current financial year.

The Department highlighted 12 areas to work on over the next five years in April last year, and has issued its first of five updates.

The report uses a traffic light system to show which areas are on schedule, with eight areas achieving green lights.

However, a plan to improve integrated care, updating contracts with private sector and charitable providers, publishing updates on social media and development of a recuitment programme have all been rated amber - an issue which is being addressed.

Reports will be published annually until 2021.
