The Home Affairs Minister has revealed that more than two thirds of the Island's police officers are male.
Just 64 of the Isle of Man Constabulary's 213 officers are female, while the top six ranked officers are all men.
Meanwhile, only two of the 49 wholetime fire officers are women, as well as three of the 107 retained officers in the fire service.
However, more than half of the police support staff employed by the Department are female, as well as all support staff in the fire service.
Bill Malarkey also revealed that more than 70% of the Island's prison and probation officers are men.
The figures were published in a written answer in this week's sitting of the House of Keys.
