Pension freedoms to be introduced later this year

The Treasury plans to introduce a greater pension freedoms on the Island later this year.

MHK Bill Shimmins confirmed in the House of Keys that officers from the Treasury are currently working on the proposals.

It's expected the plans will go before Tynwald later this year.

Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan gained support from Tynwald to introduce pension freedoms in 2015.
