The Island's health authority is urging men to stick to 14 units of alcohol per week.
The Public Health Directorate has changed its advice, reducing the number of units it's safe for men to drink from 21 to 14.
The recommended level for women remains unchanged at 14.
The changes bring the Island in line with the UK, which altered its advice following a review in 2012.
The new guidance also says there is no safe level of alcohol for women during pregnancy, and that everyone should have at least two alcohol free days each week.
