An MHK is calling for the Department of Economic Development to offer help where possible to cyclists finding it difficult to get the funds to compete on the Isle of Man.
Rob Callister - who is a political member of the DED - revealed that he's asked to Department to assist where possible.
It's feared some riders and teams could miss this year's British National Road Cycling Championships due to the cost involved in getting to the Island.
Mr Callister also admitted that hotels and travel companies were warned against charging top rates during the Championships, but concedes there's little the Government can do to stop private businesses setting their own prices.
