A doctor based on the Island is calling for the Government to listen to the working population over Personal Capability Assessments.
The Treasury released a report last week into the testing, which was stopped last year over problems with the company contracted to carry out the assessments.
Dr Geoff Helliwell - who has previously provided occupational healthcase to civil servants on the Island - believes the report needs to be debated on a wider scale.
Dr Helliwell described suggestions in the report as punitive, adding that it affects everyone of working age.
The occupational physician has written to the Chief Minister, Treasury Minister and Health and Social Care Minister, urging them to hold an informed debate on the subject.
