Almost 500 fines have been issued to drivers parking in taxi ranks and bus stops over the last four years.
483 fixed penalty notices were handed out by the Department of Infrastructure's Traffic Wardens to motorists wrongly using areas designated for taxis and buses between 2012 and 2016.
Over 300 were for parking in a taxi rank, including 78 during the 2015-16 financial year.
However, the number of people caught parking in bus stops has dropped from 54 to 36, although the DoI has recently given the Bus Inspector the authority to issue tickets.
The figures don't include penalty notices issued by the Department of Home Affairs.
