A meeting to discuss the future operation of the Island's meat plant will take place next month.
Four options are currently being considered, including closing the plant, putting the running of the facility out to tender and restructuring the business to add a retail and butchery option.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture recently carried out a review into the future of the facility, and will ask the agricultural industry for feedback at the briefing.
The report says putting the running of the facility out the tender is currently the preferred option.
The board of IOM Meats called for changes to the plant, saying it needs to be more efficient, produce products that look different and support local producers.
The meeting will take place at Peel Golf Club on Thursday February 9th at 7pm.
