MHK seeks cost of flight delays

The Infrastructure Minister will be asked how much late arrivals at the airport cost the Government.

Douglas North MHK David Ashford wants to know what overtime costs have been incurred because of flights arriving late at Ronaldsway over the last four years.

Watchdog group Travelwatch claimed one evening service was late 40% of the time last summer, while a number of factors such as weather and technical problems can result in flights arriving late.

Ray Harmer will reveal the figures when Tynwald sits tomorrow.
