A campaign group is calling for the Island's politicians to reject a proposal to update Manx laws on abortions.
Ramsey MHK Alex Allinson has been a vocal supporter of a campaign to allow more terminations to take place on Island.
Dr Allinson has indicated he intends to bring a private members bill before the House of Keys this month to change the laws, but the Humanity and Equality in Abortion Reform group says the proposals are regressive.
HEAR believes allowing more women to seek abortion on the Island would infringe on the human rights of the unborn child, and insists that the current rules protect the foetus's right to life.
Women are currently only entitled to have an abortion on the Island in certain circumstances, forcing many to seek a private termination in the UK.
