The Steam Packet Company is warning there could be yet more disruption to its services today.
Both of the Ben-my-Chree's crossings to Heysham and the return journeys were cancelled yesterday because of severe gale force winds.
This morning's sailing is due to depart Douglas at 8.45 as scheduled, but the operator is warning the 7.45pm trip could be disrupted or cancelled because of the conditions.
The wind is forecast to reach severe gale force nine again this evening and overnight, before improving on Friday morning.
The Steam Packet says a decision on this evening's services will be made by 5pm.
