Sailings cancelled due to weather forecast

Ben-my-Chree

This morning's sailing to Heysham has been cancelled because of the weather conditions.

The Steam Packet Company decided the winds were too strong for the Ben-my-Chree to head to the Lancashire port at 8.45am.

The return sailing at 2.15pm has also been cancelled, and the operator is warning this evening's services could also be affected.

Gusts reaching severe gale force nine are forecast for later today.
