The MHK responsible for tourism on the Island says hosting the British national road cycling championships will be a massive boost to the sector.
The Department of Economic Development hopes hosting the event in June this year will bring around 15,000 visitors to the Island just two weeks after the end of TT fortnight.
As well as bringing in visitors, TV coverage of the event will show footage of Island to thousands more.
Rob Callister told MTTV that the event should be beneficial for local tourism businesses and the Island as a whole [play audio].
