The Health and Social Care Minister says the rising cost of providing services and increasing demands for health and social care services is to blame for an £11m overspend.
Kate Beecroft will ask for an additional £11.1m for her Department at this month's sitting of Tynwald.
Mrs Beecroft believes she faces hard and uncomfortable choices going forward due to the rising demand on her Department and the higher costs of providing such services.
The Minister will outline ways she intends to make the Department more sustainable in the future when she speak at Tynwald.
It's the second year in a row the DHSC has needed extra funds.
