MHK calls for nursery committee

An MHK wants a committee to look at the availability of nursery places on the Island.

Douglas North member David Ashford will ask Tynwald to set up an investigation into the local provision of nurseries.

In a recent House of Keys sitting, Health and Social Care Minister Kate Beecroft revealed there are almost 1600 spaces at nurseries.

However, the number fell by 122 over the last 12 months.
