School registration reminder for parents

Parents of children who turn five during the 2017-18 academic year are being reminded to register their children with a school.

Pupils begin reception class during the year they have their fifth birthday, but children have to be registered well in advance to allow for planning and allocation of staff.

Those with children due to start school in the next academic year can find out which school catchment area they live in on the Government's website.
