Warmest Christmas Day on record in 2016

Christmas Day on the Isle of Man in 2016 was the warmest on record.

Ronaldsway Met Office recorded a temperature of 12.7°C on December 25th, while the month as a whole was the third-warmest on record.

It was also the driest December in over 40 years, with only around half the average December rainfall hitting the Island last month.

As well as milder temperatures and less rain, winds weren't as strong as normal, but there were fewer hours of sunshine.
