Planning permission is being sought to build an older persons living complex in Braddan.
A developer wants to build 25 two-bedroomed bungalows with communal gardens and landscape.
The facility would also have a shop, full-time warden and community transport.
The site is close to Braddan Church, and is currently a disused building contractors yard.
The company behind the plans insists there is a shortage of such accomodation on the Island, and that their development could become a blueprint for future projects.
