Police warn against leaving presents on display

The police are reminding Manx residents not to leave their Christmas presents in view of potential burglars.

The Isle of Man Constabulary say not to place wrapped presents in view of windows where they can be seen by passers-by.

There's also a warning to make sure wrapping and packaging is disposed of properly, so not to advertised what new items are in the home.

The police have been issuing a number of tips to avoid becoming a victim of crime in the run up to Christmas on their Facebook page.
