The Island's fire service is reminding the public of the risks of burning rubbish after being called out to two waste fires.
Officers from Douglas attended a scene on a farm in Foxdale, while crews from Castletown were needed to control a blaze near the South Barrule plantation.
There are strict guidelines restricting how waste material can be disposed, with some materials resulting in smoke, pollution to the environment and cause health hazards, as well as being a nuisance to neighbours.
Anyone who is planning to use a bonfire to burn waste should contact the Emergency Services Joint Control Room on 697327 beforehand to avoid the fire brigade being called out unnecessarily.
