Police issue vulnerable person advice

Police have issued advice on what to do when coming across a vulnerable person.

The move comes after the Constabulary received reports of an elderly lady wearing pyjamas and slippers while walking on Glencrutchery Road yesterday.

Officers conducted extensive enquiries but say no-one matching the woman's description has been reported missing, so it appears she made it home safely.

The police confirmed reports of this nature aren't uncommon, and that anyone who comes across such a situation should get in touch and if possible keep an eye on the person until services arrive.
