Police are thanking a member of the public for helping them arrest a man carrying drugs in a pub in Ramsey.
Officers confronted the man as he exited the premises on Parliament Street last weekend, and had to use Pava spray to control the man following a struggle.
The offender has already appeared in court and has been handed a four week custodial sentence as well as a five-year exclusion from the Island following his release from prison.
The Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team say a member of the public assisted officers during the arrest, and they are keen for him to come forward so they can express their thanks in person.
The police are also hoping this incident serves as a reminder for the Manx public to drink responsibly and behave while out in the run up to Christmas.
