Tynwald will be asked to approve a 6.5% rise to the so-called Toilet Tax when the Manx parliament sits this week.
Manx Utilities chairman Alex Allinson will ask members to pass a proposal increasing the sewerage rate from 92p to 98p in the pound from April.
It had been expected that the rate would go up by a third, but Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan confirmed last month that the changes will be restricted to the same rate as the Retail Prices Index.
The December sitting of Tynwald will get underway tomorrow morning.
