Treasury Minister to face couples tax question

The Island's Treasury Minister will be asked whether unmarried couples will be allowed to submit a joint tax return in the future.

Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper wants to know whether long-term cohabiting couples will be able to be jointly assessed in the future.

Married couples and those in civil partnerships can already submit their details together.

Alfred Cannan will give his answer when Tynwald sits on Tuesday.
