Police are warning of scammers trying to use the Isle of Man Constabulary's name to lure businesses into buying advertising.
The Manx police say they've had reports of companies on the Island being contacted by people claiming to be selling advertising space in a crime prevention magazine or leaflet endorsed by the Island's police.
However, the constabulary insists they are not endorsing such a publication, and that businesses have previously used the force's name to get money for a genuine publication.
Police urge anyone who is offered such a deal to be wary.
