One of the Island's local authorities is urging residents to think about recycling more over the festive period.
Port Erin Commissioners say the amount of rubbish dealt with during wheelie bin collections increases by around 10% over Christmas.
To lessen the strain on the town's waste collection service, the board wants those living in the town to use bring banks and the Southern Civic Amenity Site for any extra waste.
Metals, glass and paper can be taken to all bring banks, with some also accepting textiles and plastics.
Full details on recycling in the south of the Island can be found on the Commissioners' website.
