The Island's roads police are warning motorists of driving too soon the night after drinking.
As the office Christmas party season begins, the Roads Policing Unit has issued a reminder about driving the morning after consuming alcohol.
In a post on their Facebook page, the police say motorists may feel fine, but still have to make sure they've allowed enough time for alcohol to have left their bodies before getting behind the wheel.
Officers warn against remedies such as drinking lots of water, drinking strong coffee and taking a shower, which might help a person feel better, but won't speed up the rate alcohol leaves the body at.
