Parish Walk entries open at midnight

Entries for one of the Island's largest annual sporting events open at midnight.

The Parish Walk will take place on June 17th next year - one week earlier than had previously been advertised.

The event attracts elite racewalkers, fundraisers and those just keen to see how far they can make it around the 85-mile course.

Those who sign up before the end of January will receive a discounted entry fee, although entry will remain open until May 7th.

Over 1100 walkers took part in last year's event, with 155 completing the full distance inside the 24-hour time limit.
