DED fails to complete TT promoter deal with Vision Nine

Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly met with Vision Nine after the company was chosen to be the promoter of the TT earlier this year.

A deal between the Manx Government and a London events company to promote the Isle of Man TT has fallen through.

The Department of Economic Development confirmed Vision Nine has been contacted and informed that its services will not be required, despite the company being announced as the successful bidder in a tender process earlier this year.

In July it was announced that the Government would continue as promoter for 2017 with the contract between the DED and Vision Nine still to be signed.

The Department now says it will continue as promoter, working alongside other areas of Government

The DED also confirmed Vision Nine intend to issue legal proceedings against the Government over the matter.
