The Minister for Education and Children says his Department is looking for more ways to bring Manx teachers back to the Island.
Many teachers study across, and the DEC is trialing a scheme where those coming back to teach in the Island's schools get their tuition fees refunded through the tax system.
Graham Cregeen highlighted attracting top teachers to the Island as a priority in his election manifesto earlier this year before being placed in charge of the Department.
He told this week's sitting of the House of Keys that he's looking for ways to offer further incentives to teachers, such as relocation packages.
23 primary school teachers and 47 secondary school teachers will reach retirement age in the next 10 years.
