The Treasury Minister has revealed it takes almost two months for a retirement pension benefit to be processed on the Island.
The average claim takes 57 days to be completed, excluding the time it takes for claimants to provide all their details to the Government.
Disability living allowance and attendance allowance both take around 22 days to the dealt with, while child benefit takes 11 days on average.
Incapacity benefit and income support both take around a day, while an application for jobseeker's allowance is turned around in approximately three days.
Alf Cannan revealed the figures in a written answer at this week's sitting of the House of Keys.
