Forecast gales result in cancelled sailings

This morning's sailing to Heysham has been cancelled due to the weather forecast.

The Ben-my-Chree's crossing to Heysham at 8.45am and return to Douglas at 2.15pm have both been affected, with conditions due to deteriorate rapidly later.

The Steam Packet Company is warning that this evening's sailings could also be cancelled or disrupted because of the weather - a further announcement will be made by 5pm.

The Isle of Man Met Office is expecting winds reaching severe gale force nine to hit the Island later today.

Those booked on the cancelled sailings are asked to contact the Steam Packet's reservation team.
